I grew up in Isle, MN with my parents and three sisters, one of them is my identical twin. I grew up playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. I also spent a lot of time working with children in various settings. Ever since I was a young girl, I have enjoyed working with children and I always knew I would have a career that allowed me to work and learn with children.
After graduating from high school I attended St. Cloud State University. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a teaching license from birth through third grade. I also have a Masters Degree in Differentiated Instruction through Concordia University.
I have lived in Sauk Rapids for the past 17 years with my husband Cory. Cory is a teacher at the SRRHS and he is also a Sauk Rapids Fire Fighter. We have two daughters, Erica is 14 years old and a 9th grader at the SRRHS and Abigail is 10 years old and a 5th grader at PV. We have a dog named Mia and a cat named Frank.
This will be my 14th year teaching at Pleasantview (1 year in second grade and 12 years in kindergarten) and this will be my first year teaching first grade. Pleasantview is a wonderful place to work and I am so fortunate to be a part of such a great staff. I also look forward to each school year as I get to build partnerships with families and create great relationships with students as they learn and grow at Pleasantview!
